Help Us Advocate for the EISTC Program
Sacred Heart Family, we need your help! Since its creation in 2014, the state’s Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits (EISTC) program has provided tuition assistance for dozens of students to attend SHCS. This year alone, over 50 students at SHCS receive financial aid through the EISTC program. But now the General Assembly is threatening to abolish it. Please click here to help us preserve EISTC and school choice in the commonwealth of Virginia.
The VCC is calling upon all Catholics to voice their opposition to HB 521, a bill that would eliminate the EISTC program. Without EISTC, many families would lose the opportunity to send their children to Catholic school. EISTC covers the gap between what a family can afford to pay toward tuition and the actual cost of tuition.
